You may have seen numerous agents with property awards over their property listings and social media channels but what does that really mean?
Here, we give you a break down of what we really need to do to gain the awards and how it benefits our clients to have these accolades.
ESTA Awards
Milne Moser have entered the ESTA awards for numerous years and have been successful both winning an award and shortlisted nearly every year. This is a national award, with agents from all over the UK entering and the awards are based purely on customer feedback. The vendors, buyers, landlords and tenants are sent a questionnaire and survey, they must rate their agent, give scores and provide comments following the completion of their transaction. This is carried out over a full year and then assessed by the ESTA Awards. Once assessed, the shortlists will be released. He shortlisted agents will be invited to an event in London to potentially receive their awards. Phil Spencer, property TV personality, is involved with the ESTA Awards and is usually there to present the awards. We are currently waiting on the results of this year’s ESTA Awards although we have been shortlisted for both sales and lettings; we wait with our fingers crossed.
The British Property Awards
This process is much different to the ESTA Awards. It was created by a previous team of estate agency owners who believe the sector was unfairly judged my consumers. The eligibility for these awards is assessed in the form of a mystery shop. Firstly, they will send email enquiries to see how quickly and well the agent responds to their enquiry, this will be rated. There will also be telephone enquiries undertaken to see how the agent deals with the phone call queries. This is carried out over several months and assessed by the British Property Awards, usually comparing agents within a specific town or locality. This year, we have been awarded with a GOLD award which we are extremely proud of.
The Best Estate Agent Guide
The best estate agent guide is run by the Property Academy and supported by Rightmove. The agents are assessed based on a variety of data from Rightmove. The first part of the assessment takes place over an initial six-month period in which each property listing is assessed, and each branch then assessed by a mystery shop. From this the top 20% of agents are chosen. The next step is to collate the scores and assess the top 3% of agencies as winners of the BEAG Award. The final step is an awards ceremony to announce the overall winners, usually held an event in October. Milne Moser are proudly included in the Best Estate Agent Guide and in the top 3% of agencies in the country!
Winning these awards is not just to show a certificate or award, it shows our dedication, enthusiasm and commitment to our sector to be the best we possibly can. We always aim to provide a gold standard service to support our clients should that be sellers, landlords, buyers or tenants.
